Annie Charlotte has two vaginas, but it doesn’t affect her sex life much, because “99 percent of men don’t understand.”
The 26-year-old discovered she had two vaginas when she was sixteen; she was inserting a form of birth control inside her when her doctor diagnosed her with a rare condition.
The doctor explained that she had a uterine didelphis, a condition that means she has two uteruses, two cervixes and two vaginas.
Since then it has been an uphill battle to deal with the medical system.
“It made me realize how horrible the medical system is, especially with women’s health,” she told news.com.au.
When she was diagnosed, she was a teenager and wanted to be like everyone else, and worried that two vaginas would make sex difficult, but while it has been difficult to get basic medical treatment, her sex life has not never been a problem.
“I’ve slept with hundreds of men and 99.9 percent don’t understand that I have two vaginas. None of them ever know,” she explained.
The 26-year-old said she sometimes tells them after they’ve had sex, and they’re always “shocked, confused” and left with more questions than answers.
“I’ve had experiences where I’ve said to them, ‘By the way, I have two vaginas and they’re like, ‘What?’ she said.
MCharlotte explained that her vagina on her right side is larger and more “dominant” so men don’t notice or completely miss her smaller vagina on the left.
The 26-year-old said she thinks men don’t notice she has two vaginas because they aren’t paying attention and certainly aren’t expecting it.
“To be honest, I don’t think men even think about it. It’s not quite on their radar. “I feel like some of them don’t even know where the clitoris is, let alone where a second vagina would be,” she said.
“That’s probably a little mean, but it’s so true. And because it is, like anything internal when you can’t see it, you can feel it more.”
Charlotte said that to be fair, they probably aren’t even thinking that a second vagina could exist.
When she explains to men that she has a second vagina, she said men are often in “complete disbelief” and then very interested in exploring more.
In general, if she is open with a new sexual partner and lets them know before intercourse that she has two vaginas, men are “not weird”, but sometimes they get a little scared.
“I had someone say they were nervous to have sex with me because I had two vaginas before. He said: ‘what the hell? What shall I do with them?” she said.
She said he kept asking her how she would “feel” and seemed extremely “nervous” about what would happen when they had sex, but in general, she finds men are “good” about it.
